《論語》《憲問》14.28 :

子曰:「君子道者三,我無能焉:仁者不憂,知者不惑,勇者不懼。」子貢曰:「夫子自道也。」

The Master said, “The way of the superior man is threefold, but I am not equal to it:  Virtuous, he is free from anxieties; wise, he is free from perplexities; bold, he is free from fear.” Zi Gong said, “Master, that is what you yourself say.”

Alternative translationThe Master said, “In the way of the gentleman there are three things that I cannot achieve. Love is never troubled; wisdom has no doubts; courage is without fear. “That is what ye say, Sir,” said Tzu-kung.

【現代漢語翻譯】孔子說:「君子的三種品德我沒做到:仁者不憂、智者不惑、勇者不懼。子貢說:「老師是在說自己呢。」

【试译孔子说:“君子有三样,是我做不到的:仁慈无忧,明智无疑,勇敢无畏。” 子贡说:“这正是老人家说他自己啊。”
